Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans Athletics

Sophomore Carmelle Joyner had a terrific weekend as the Vulcans hosted four matches at the Holua Tennis Center in Kailua-Kona. Joyner, playing in the No. 3 singles spot, was the only Vulcan to go undefeated over the weekend in singles (3-0), and she teamed with Marina Colvee to go 3-1 in doubles on court two. The North Carolina native picked up UH Hilo's only singles win during a 5-2 loss to Holy Names, and also had a doubles win with Colvee in that same match versus the Hawks.
