A breakdown just two minutes into the match haunted the University of Hawaii at Hilo for the remaining 88 minutes as they fell in their Pacific West Conference opener to Notre Dame de Namur University, 1-0, in Belmont, CA.

“It may have been fatigue from the traveling but our concentration wasn't there at all,” said UHH head coach Marc Miranda. “We didn't play very well at all.”

The Vulcans are 1-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the PacWest while the Argonauts are 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Alysia Barone had four saves for the Vulcans in a complete game performance.

Jessica Snell and Lindsey Poulsen recorded shots on goal for the Vulcans.
