The University of Hawaii at Hilo came up a match short in dropping a 5-4 match to Brigham Young University-Hawaii on the BYU-Hawaii tennis courts in Laie, Hawaii.
The Vulcans took a 2-1 lead after second doubles partners Ryan Coffey and Bryan Canavan recorded a 9-8 win, and third doubles partners Carlos Quijano and Kallen Mizuguchi recorded a 8-5 win.
Coffey and Mizuguchi also won in singles with Coffey up 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 in third singles and Mizuguchi up 7-6, 0-6, 6-3 in sixth singles.
