I finally won my first PBA championship ring. It was a great feeling, especially all of our players were injured and I had to step up and play a big role. It reminded me of the 2004-05 season at Hilo. Pretty much Skip Esene took the Batman role and I had to be Robin, which was perfect. The same thing happened this past year for the team, we had Batman on the team and I made sure I played the Robin role. But all in all, I finally got that monkey off my back and won a championship at this level.

Also, there has been a lot of guys coming to the Philippines via the Pac West conference.  John Smith was out here for a bit. In John's case he had the short end of the stick, politics played a huge role in him not being signed in the PBA. He played well in the developmental league. I got to know him because we were workout partners for a few months. His work ethic alone should have gotten him in the League.
