HAWAI'I – Free keiki basketball clinics hosted by Hawai'i Hilo Men's Basketball coaches are coming to six Hawai'i islands later this month.
The second annual UH Hilo Coaches Hawaiian Islands Tour will host clinics for kids in grades 4-8 on the east side of the Big Island in Hilo (May 15), Kihei, Maui (May 17), Kaunakakai, Moloka'i (May 18), Lana'i City, Lana'i (May 19), Honolulu, O'ahu (May 20) and Kapa'a, Kaua'i (May 21). Clinics include head coach Kaniela Aiona and assistant coaches Steve Kinder and Anthony Haskett.
"We're thrilled to be out again to connect with the keiki basketball players across the state," sixth-year Vulcans head coach Aiona said. "Basketball has always been a cornerstone of our community here and we want to honor that legacy by giving back and helping to inspire the next generation with the mindset and work ethic they'll need both on and off the court."
