The University of Hawaii at Hilo ran away from the field to claim the Western Washington Invitational on the Belilngham Golf and Country Club in Wash.

The Vulcans turned in a tournament low 299 in the second round to claim the event with a two-round 608. They were followed by British Columbia (614), Tarleton State (616), Grand Canyon (617), Chico State (628), Victoria-BC (633), Western Washington (639), Cal State East Bay (642), Point Loma Nazarene (658), St. Martin's (666), Montana State Billings (680), Simon Fraser (734) and Northwest Nazarene (758).
 
Kacie Harada finished in second place (73-76=149) just two strokes behind tournament champion Casara Hong of BC.
 
Erika Morihiro (77-75) and Nyssa Aoki (78-74) were tied for fifth place at 6-over-par 152. Kristen Sawada was tied for 15th place at 155 (81-74) while Shannon  Abarra was tied for 43rd place at 167 (83-84).
