Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The University of Hawaii Hilo opened the Hilo Round Robin with a split defeating Missouri Western State 9-1 and losing to Western Oregon 11-1 on the opening day of the Hilo Round Robin. Rain and the threat of more rain prompted moving the tournament to Waimea, where cold and windy conditions prevailed.
 
In the first game Vanessa Salinas tossed a three-hitter and struck out seven in game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule. Rebecca Lee had went 3-4 with 3 RBIs. Emily Greene and Melanie Morelos added 2 RBI singles. Colleen Aubrey, Asha Prithviraj and Kristina Victa all paired hits for the Vulcans.
 
Game two was a pitching duel through six innings. Western Oregon led  2-1 entering the top of the seventh and erupted for nine runs paced by Amanda Evola's three run homer.
