Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Vanessa Salinas tossed a two hitter, and then the University of Hawaii at Hilo scored ten early runs to sweep Azusa Pacific University 3-0 and 10-6 in Pacific West Conference softball action.
 
Salinas allowed only four base runners on 2 singles, a hit batter and a fielding error. She struck out five and walked none. Two Cougar errors allowed two runs to break a scoreless tie in the fifth. Salinas aided her own cause with a RBI groundout in the sixth for an insurance run. Kristina Victa had two hits and scored the first run in the fifth.
 
In game two the Vulcans jumped on three Cougar pitchers for 10 runs and held them off for the victory. Ashley Nelson in relief of Hannah Peterson got the win spacing five hits in 5 1/3 innings. Two unearned runs caused by an errant throw were the only blemish on her performance. Victa was the only Vulcan to pair hits. Brittany Huff had 3 RBIs, Brittany Spencer and Victa added 2 RBIs each.
