Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The University of Hawaii at Hilo played 15 innings in a doubleheader split with Dixie State College of Utah, winning 5-0 and dropping the nightcap 2-1. Vulcan pitcher Vanessa Salinas pulled “Ironwoman” duty hurling all 15 innings.
 
Salinas tossed a five hit shutout in winning the first game. A four run 4th inning sparked by Kristina Victa's two run double provided all the cushion Salinas needed. Brittany Huff and Rebecca Lee both had two hits and Huff added two RBIs.
 
In game two Salinas led 1-0 going into the seventh when Marla Reiter's solo homerun tied the game. Sheila Gelter's RBI single in the top of the 8^th provided the winning margin, handing Salinas the hardluck loss. Lee and Asha Prithviraj each had two hits to lead the Vulcans.
