Inside players Devin Johnson and Allie Navarette are the Hawai`i Hilo Pepsi Athletes of the week for December 14-19.

Senior post Devin Johnson had solid outings during a pair of home games last week at the Civic. The 6-7, 260-pounder had 19 points and nine rebounds against regionally ranked Western Oregon, and he added a double-double with 10 points and 12 boards against Holy Names. The dozen rebounds is a season best, as was his 7-of-10 free throw markmanship against the Wolves and the 19 points. On the season, the Battle Ground, Wash. native lead the Vulcans with 5.8 rebounds a game and he is averaging 8.6 points in the scorebook. 

Another three games on the Vulcan schedule, another three outstanding performances from Allie Navarette. The sophomore totaled 60 points, 27 rebounds and six assists as the Vulcans won two of three games in three nights at the Civic. The Torrance, Calif. native had a career-high 19 rebounds to go with 21 points as UHH picked up their first PacWest win (Holy Names), and she had a double-double (22 points, 10 boards) against No. 17 nationally ranked Alaska Anchorage. She added 17 points and eight boards versus Saint Martin's to head into the break averaging a smidge under 20 points a game and 10 rebounds a contest.

Both teams will now break for the holidays, and will return to work on December 31 at Dominican.
