Another early season award came Mina Grant's direction today when she was named to the D2 West Region Volleyball Crossover All-Tournament team. 

Four players from each of the six "pods" of the Crossover were selected to the team (there were four teams in each pod). Grant was the only libero named in the San Francisco pod, helping the Vulcans to a 3-1 record in the tournament. Also selected in San Francisco were Payton Jensen (San Francisco State), Eavan Taylor (Montana State Billings) and Tati Yandall (Cal State Dominguez Hills).

Grant, a senior who named the Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week last weekend and was the PacWest Preseason Libero of the Year, had 81 total digs in the fourth matches. She had a season-high 33 in a five-set win over Cal State Dominguez Hills and had 26 in an equally long loss to Saint Martin's.

The Vulcans, now 4-2, return home to open conference play this week against Dominican on Friday and Notre Dame de Namur on Monday. Both matches start at 7 p.m. in Vulcan Gymnasium.
