Larry Bush had two of his highest scoring games of his Vulcan career, leading to his being named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week today.
Bush scored a league-best 53 points last week, including a season-high 27 points in the Vulcans' win against No. 12 Point Loma on Thursday. Bush went 11 for 16 from the field against the Sea Lions. With 100 seconds left in the game, Hawai`i Hilo led by one when Bush completed a three-point play to make sure the Vulcans led for the rest of the game.
The Calabasas, Calif. native also had 26 points in a loss to Concordia, and finished the week 19 for 29 from the field and 13 for 14 from the free throw line. The senior is now averaging 15.5 points per game with 44 steals after picking up two more last week.
The Vulcans have two more games on this southern California road trip, taking on Biola Tuesday night and Azusa Pacific on Thursday.
