HILO, Hawai'i – The Hawai'i Hilo women's soccer team came in at the No. 9 spot in the week six United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Rankings released Tuesday morning.
The Vulcans, who went 1-0-1 over the last week with a scoreless tie to Chaminade and a 2-1 win over Hawai'i Pacific, dropped three spots from last week's share of the No. 6 ranking as they improved to 8-0-2 on the season.
Hawai'i Hilo also fell to No. 2 in the West Region rankings, swapping spots with Western Washington (8-1-3) whom moved up seven spots this week to No. 7 in the national poll.
Dallas Baptist University (9-1-1) remained atop the Division II rankings.
Pacific West Conference-mate Point Loma Nazarene moved up one spot to No. 16 while remaining at No. 3 in the West Region. Fresno Pacific also joined the regional rankings, coming in at the No. 10 slot.
The Vulcans' lone match this week will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at home against the Sunbirds.
