SURPRISE, Ariz.--The UH Hilo men's and women's tennis teams are in Arizona for the PacWest Championships at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club.
Both the men and women will play Concordia University Irvine in the first round of the conference tournament.
The women face CUI first, playing their first match on Wednesday, Apr. 20 at 6am HT (9am PT) with the men kicking off the tournament on Thursday, Apr. 21 at 6am HT (9am PT).
The men are ranked 42nd in the nation according to the ITA rankings. Martin Soukal (Brno, Czech Republic/) is ranked No. 7 in the nation in singles and Soukal and Alessio Demichelis (Casale Monferrato, Italy / Ascanio Sobrero HS/) are ranked 49th in doubles.
