It was a tough week-long slate of matches for the Hawai'i Hilo men's tennis team, but one of the highlights was a 4-1 win over No. 15 Midwestern State in which freshman Filippo Di Perna notched both doubles and singles victories to help the Vulcans earn two points. With the week winding down, Di Perna's singles victory against No. 35 MSU Denver was the Vulcans lone point through their last three matches.

Fourth-year pitcher Malia Risdall earned her first career win with a complete-game performance in a 4-2 victory over Azusa Pacific on March 14. Risdall followed up with another complete-game victory, this time in a 5-4 win over Holy Names to help the Vulcans to a four-game win streak.
