SURPRISE, Arizona – The Hawai'i Hilo women's tennis team was blanked by second-seeded Azusa Pacific, 4-0, Thursday morning in the Pacific West Conference Championships quarterfinals round at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.
The Vulcans dropped the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-2 losses before the Cougars captured three quick points in the singles rounds to take the 4-0 match victory.
On court four, Hikari Osaki took set one, 6-4, and was down, 4-3, in the second set before the match ended.
It was the third time this season the two teams matched up as APU took victories all three times.

Hawai'i Hilo fell to 9-9 overall as Azusa Pacific moved to a 20-4 record.
The Vulcans will continue play in the consolation bracket, taking on sixth-seeded Academy of Art Friday morning.
The Cougars advance to the PacWest Championships semifinal round.
