HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Soccer put up a 3-0 score in a victory over Chaminade on Thursday afternoon to close out the 2025 home slate in Pacific West Conference action at the Vulcan Soccer Field.
Mirai Sato (19'), Jakob Santiago (56') and Iago Perez Ferreiro (76)' each increased their season goal count with assists from Ronan McFarland, Felix Drizinsky, Perez Ferrerio, Emilio Gonzales and Sato.
The Silverswords were credited with zero shots on goal as Paul Waschkau and Adam Frank combined for the team shutout.
With just one game to go, the Vulcans are in prime position toward clinching one of four spots for next week's PacWest Championships postseason tournament in Santa Barbara. Point Loma (8-1-0) claimed the regular season title with Vanguard (6-1-2), Hawai'i Hilo (6-2-1), Fresno Pacific (6-2-1) and Menlo (5-2-2) still in contention.

The four-team PacWest Conference Championships postseason tournament will be hosted by Westmont in Santa Barbara, California (Nov. 13-15). Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 2 in the PacWest Preseason Coaches Poll.
