HILO, Hawai'i – After the Warriors managed to even the score late in the contest, Hawai'i Hilo Men's Basketball responded with a 10-0 run to take the lead and put the game away for a 71-61 victory over Jessup in Pacific West Conference action Monday night at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
The Vulcans took a nine-point advantage into halftime but couldn't quite find the bottom of the net through the middle eight minutes of the second half as the Warriors managed to claw their way back into the game after outscoring the home team at a 17-7 rate to tie the game with under eight minutes to go.
In the blink of an eye, the Vulcans took a 10 point lead and continued to answer back each time to close out the victory.
