HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Basketball will have a 27-game schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season with 13 home contests at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

The Vulcans open the season with a three-game road trip through Washington, taking on Evergreen State (Nov. 11), Saint Martin's (Nov. 13) and Montana State Billings (Nov. 14) — the latter as part of the annual PacWest-GNAC Crossover.

Hawai'i Hilo will have its home opener hosting Grace U on Nov. 17 at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium before hosting the second annual Southwest Airlines Big Island Invitational (Nov. 20-21) featuring the Vulcans, CSU Monterey Bay, Fort Lewis and San Francisco State. A new Hawai'i Basketball Aloha Cup Tournament will start up this year with non-conference contests against the other two Division-II Hawai'i schools (Chaminade and HPU) on Nov. 27 and 29.

"This schedule gives us a lot of different looks early on to help prepare us for the road ahead. The Pacific West Conference is filled with many quality programs and is always a tough challenge that we look forward to taking on," Vulcans seventh-year head coach Kaniela Aiona said. "We have a big group of newcomers and the non-conference games are going to be key for getting us ready to go. The second annual Southwest Airlines Big Island Invitational and the new Hawai'i Basketball Aloha Cup Tournament gives us opportunities to play more games in front of our fans here in Hilo."

Other home games include: Biola (Dec. 3), Vanguard (Dec. 7), Point Loma (Jan. 16), Jessup (Jan. 18), Concordia (Jan. 20), HPU (Feb. 7), Westmont (Feb. 13), Dominican (Feb. 17) and Chaminade (Feb. 27).

The PacWest Conference is now composed of 10 teams after the departures of Menlo and Fresno Pacific to the CCAA and Azusa Pacific to NCAA Division III.

The six-team PacWest Championships postseason tournament is set for March 4-6 in La Mirada, California hosted by Biola.

Hawai'i Hilo will get the season underway with an exhibition against UH Manoa on O'ahu with a date and time to be announced later.
