CALIFORNIA – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Tennis' Jaime Paquet continued his winning ways with a 5-0 week in singles to repeat as Pacific West Conference Player of the Week.
The redshirt-sophomore now holds a 11-2 record in singles matches with all but one of them on Court 1.
Paquet started the week with a three-set victory over No. 7 Azusa Pacific's Elias Emilio Walter, who was ranked No. 34 in the nation. Other wins were over Biola, Menlo, No. 38 Fresno Pacific and Jessup. He also posted a 3-2 record in doubles matches on Court 1 as well.

Hawai'i Hilo's Jaime Paquet won five matches last week for the Vulcans on singles court one, improving to 11-2 on the season. After a 2-2 start, the former Tennessee Tech player has won nine in a row. He began the week topping the 2024 PacWest Player of the Year Elias Emilio Walter of Azusa Pacific, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 last Monday, and followed that with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Biola's Flores Monteverde, a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Menlo's Robin Mcalpine, a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Fresno Pacific's Ravi Nelson and a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jessup's Michael Marci. Paquet, who sat out all of last season with an injury, is now 5-1 this year in 3-set matches. He was also 3-2 this past week on doubles court one with teammate Sergi Tintore.
The Vulcans wrap-up regular season action with four more matches against interisland rival HPU on O'ahu (March 27-28) and at home on the UHH Tennis Courts (April 5-6).
