HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Tennis began its season 2-0 with two victories over Southern New Hampshire on O'ahu earlier this week.

The Vulcans took the 1-0 lead with doubles wins on Courts 1 and 2 as the tandem of Coby Pearce and Sergi Tintore gutted out a 7-3 tiebreak to clinch. Hawai'i Hilo took a 3-0 lead before SNHU managed to win singles matches on Courts 5 and 6. Jaime Paquet battled back from a narrow Set 1 loss to take the final two sets for the singles win and match clincher.

Match 2 started off coming down to Court 2 in doubles, once again, as Pearce and Tintore clinched with a 7-5 score. Agustin Gentile, Pearce, Tintore and Paquet took their singles matches to give the Vulcans the repeat victory at 5-1.
