CALIFORNIA – Hawai'i Hilo Softball's Madison Rabe was tabbed as Pacific West Conference Pitcher of the Week after allowing zero runs in 9.0 total innings of work, which included a seven-inning no-hit shutout on eight strikeouts.
Rabe went the distance in Game 2 of a three-game series against Menlo before coming in to throw 2.0 innings in the series finale.

Hawai'i Hilo's Madison Rabe threw a no-hitter against Menlo last Monday in Atherton during a 3-0 Vulcan win. She was three walks away from a perfect game and fanned eight Oak batters in improving to 8-2 on the season. The second-year Vulcan needed 131 pitches to get to the finish line for the first no-hitter of her career. She also threw two innings of relief against the Oaks without giving up a hit to give her a total of nine innings of hitless work. On the season, the local product has a 2.90 ERA.
