HILO, Hawai'i – Sixteen matches are on tap for the upcoming 2025 Hawai'i Hilo Men's Soccer season featuring seven home matches at the on-campus Vulcan Soccer Field.
The Vulcans open the season with a three-game road trip taking on Cal State San Marcos (Sept. 4), Cal State LA (Sept. 6) and Western Oregon (Sept. 8) — the latter two teams both qualified for the NCAA Super Regional 4.
The first home match will be Sept. 17 against Colorado Colorado Springs, who also made an appearance in the NCAA Super Regional 4.
Other home matches: Oct. 9 (Biola), Oct. 11 (Vanguard), Oct. 16 (HPU), Oct. 23 (Point Loma), Oct. 25 (Concordia) and Nov. 6 (Chaminade).
Hawai'i Hilo posted an 11-6-1 overall record for back-to-back double-digit win seasons as the Vulcans were narrowly defeated in double overtime in the inaugural Pacific West Conference Championships postseason tournament semifinal round.
"Although we have had unprecedented success over the last two seasons, our goals have grown even bigger," third-year Vulcans head coach Diego Marroquin said. "We have an ambitious group who are fully committed to the process of becoming champions. We're excited about the future of our program."
The Vulcans will have one road trip through the conference portion of the season heading up to Northern California to play Dominican (Sept. 24), Menlo (Sept. 26), Jessup (Sept. 29) and Fresno Pacific (Oct. 2).
The second edition of the PacWest Conference Championships will bring the top four teams to Thorrington Field at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California on Nov. 13-15.
