SANTA BARBARA, California – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Basketball fell to Westmont, 79-43, Saturday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Murchison Gym.
The Vulcans shot 28.8 percent from the field and were 0 of 8 from beyond the arc. Tavina Harris led with 15 points and six rebounds. Kaile Cruz totaled 14 points, going 8 of 9 from the free throw line.
Westmont managed to take 18 more shot attempts than Hawai'i Hilo and out-rebounded the Vulcans at a 54-24 margin (19 offensive boards).

Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 11 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans finished the 2024-25 regular season tied at No. 10 in the conference standings. The six-team 2025-26 PacWest Championships will be hosted by PLNU on March 5-7 in San Diego.
