SAN RAFAEL, California – Sophomore KeanuMarie Huihui poured in 23 points and collected 13 rebounds for her first career double-double in a 69-62 victory over Dominican on Thursday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Conlan Center.
After one point separated the two teams at the break, the Vulcans outscored the Penguins the rest of the way, 42-34, in the second half — overcoming 21 overall committed turnovers.
Hawai'i Hilo totaled 10 blocks with half of them coming from Noelle Su'a-Godinet, tying the program's single-game record — Hillary Hurley (21 points, 18 rebounds) in a 67-53 win against Chaminade in Jan. 2011.
Huihui had three blocks and a steal to round out her double-double performance (23 points, 8-13 field goals, 3-4 3-pointers, 4-6 free throws; 13 rebounds).

- Kaile Cruz totaled nine points with one 3-pointer, moving to No. 7 overall in the program record book with 84 perimeter plashes — surpassing Krystlelyn Omlan (2006-2008).
- Su'a-Godinet collected 10 boards and moved into a tie at No. 7 in the program record book with Kamalu Kamakawiwoole (2022-2024) at 344 career rebounds — surpassing Bree Olson (2019-2023).

Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 11 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans finished the 2024-25 regular season tied at No. 10 in the conference standings. The six-team 2025-26 PacWest Championships will be hosted by PLNU on March 5-7 in San Diego.
