IRVINE, California – Hawai'i Hilo Softball closed out its opening weekend at the CUI Kickoff Classic with a 4-0 defeat to No. 14 Cal State San Marcos on Sunday morning at the Orange County Great Park.
Madison Rabe got the start in the pitching circle, going the whole distance in surrendering just one walk and five hits for two earned runs. The Vulcans defense committed four errors.
Offensively, Hawai'i Hilo never posted a player past second base as four total runners were ultimately left stranded in scoring position.
Senior right fielder Rayna White was named to the All-Tournament Team after batting .389 on seven hits and five RBI while going 1.000 in the field (seven putouts, two assists) over the weekend.
