TEXOMA – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Tennis opened its four-match Spring Break road trip with a pair of losses, falling to Cameron, 2-4, on Tuesday before dropping a 1-4 decision to No. 22 Midwestern State on Wednesday.
Cameron (Lawton, Oklahoma) claimed the doubles point and took a 3-0 lead after taking two singles matches. Pia Starnecker halted the shutout bid with a straight-sets win on Court 2 followed by a 2-1 comeback victory by Mila Srebro on Court 4. The Aggies closed the match with a win on Court 6 for the fourth point.
No. 22 Midwestern State's (Wichita Falls, Texas) fifth-ranked doubles pair of Emilia Gyorgy and Selin Sepken (also ranked No. 4 for singles) helped claim a doubles point sweep. Marie Cordonnier took a quick victory on Court 6 to even the match for the Vulcans, but the Mustangs claimed straight-sets wins on Courts 1, 2 and 4 to clinch the match.

Hawaiʻi Hilo was voted No. T7 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, tied with Stanislaus State. The Vulcans finished the 2025 season in the consolation bracket at the PacWest Championships. The eight-team 2026 PacWest Championships will be held April 15-17 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona.
