» "I have a precious opportunity to represent my home state outside of O‘ahu while pursuing my academic aspirations in the classroom. I have a deep connection to the place where I was brought up, and by choosing to attend Hilo, I feel it is a great way to give back to my local family, friends and coaches who pushed me to get to where I currently am."
