» "As someone who was born and raised on O‘ahu, I wanted to represent the state of Hawai‘i at the collegiate level. Hawai‘i Hilo felt like a home away from home. Going to Hawai‘i Hilo allows me to stay in Hawai‘i, but with a new change of pace and community."
