Vulcans pass road test

The University of Hawaii at Hilo passed their first road test as they return to Hilo with a 1-0 win over Brigham Young University-Hawaii in a non-Pacific West Conference match in Laie, Hawaii.

"It was a hard fought game," said UHH men's coach Bryan Green. "BYUH is tough."

The Vulcans are 1-0 while the Seasiders are 0-1.

Freshman Robin Furuya got his collegiate career off to a quick start with a one-on-one goal off the goal keeper. Christian Soto's pass set up Furuya, who beat the goalie on the right side of the net.
