The top three World Golf Amateurs highlight this year's field at the 22nd Annual Amer Ari at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, February 1-3, on the Waikoloa Kings' Course.

UCLA's Patrick Cantlay, Texas' Jordan Spieth and Stanford's Patrick Rodgers, ranked 1-3, will be leading their respective schools in the 20-team competition.

The tournament field includes eight of the top 14 NCAA Division I teams. The list includes host University of Hawaii at Hilo, top-ranked Texas, 2nd-ranked Oregon, 4th-ranked UCLA, 5th-ranked Washington,, 8th-ranked Stanford, 11th-ranked Georgia Tech, 12th-ranked USC and 14th-ranked Oklahoma State. The field also includes Arizona State, Oregon State, Cal State Chico, Texas Christian, Texas Tech, UC Davis, Colorado, Hawaii Manoa, San Jose State, San Francisco and Osaka Gakuin University of Japan.

A former participant of the tournament, WKC Director of Golf and UH Hilo alumnus Kevin Ginoza knows the course well.

“Here in Waikoloa you face a challenging, yet fair layout at the Kings' Course,” said Ginoza. “You'll have the chance to make a lot of brides but if the trade winds blow it will become a tough tournament.

“The course plays to just over 7,000 yards and will test all parts of your, from the shot irons to the long irons as the deep bunkers surrounding the greens make the approach shots critical.”

The field also features seven of the top10 collegiate players led by the Texas duo of Dylan Frittelli and Spieth. Rounding out the top seven players are Oregon's Eugene Wong (3rd), Stanford's Rodgers (4th), Washington's Cheng-Tsung Pan (6th), UCLA's Cantlay (7th), Texas' Julio Vargas (8th) and TCU's Julien Brun (10th).

Tournament rounds will begin with daily 7:30 a.m. shotgun starts. Results will be posted at the Kings' Course Club House concourse.
