The University of Hawaii at Hilo continues to work on building a stronger team as they beat D. One 54- 51 in an exhibition game at the UHH gym.
“Coming into this game, offensively we wanted to cut and screen a little bit better,” UHH Head Coach David Kaneshiro said. ”We did some of that better in the second half.
“Defensively we wanted to communicate well and play with a lot of intensity. I thought, at times we did that, but at times we were a little inconsistent. We need more work at it.”

Shannon Rousseau led with nine points followed by Kamai Imai with eight points and six rebounds. Jazzmyn Davis led with 10 rebounds.
“Overall, I like the way we're trying to play together, sharing the ball, and unselfishness,” Kaneshiro said. “I like the team chemistry and team work that's developing. I think we're on the right track.”
