Former Major League Soccer player
Duke Hashimoto has been selected as men's soccer assistant coach effective August 1, 2012.
A highly-decorated player at Southern Methodist University, he capped a four-year collegiate career in leading the Mustangs to the 2005 NCAA Division I College Cup while earning second-team all-American honors. He was also recognized as the 2005 Conference USA Player of the Year and ESPN Team Most Valuable Player.
Following graduation from SMU in 2006, Hashimoto played five years in Major League Soccer – Columbus Crew (2006), Real Salt Lake (2006-08) and F.C. Dallas (2010) with an appearance with the Atlanta Silverbacks (2008-09) of the United Soccer League.
