IRVINE, Calif. – The University of Hawaii at Hilo's non-losing streak ends at four with a 3-1 loss to Concordia University. But the Vulcans' scoring streak is at five as
Alejandro Patino picked up his fourth goal of the season and second in as many matches.
Two minutes into the match, the Eagle's
Jacob Rodewald scored on a cross from
Ryan Naime.
A few minutes later, the Vulcans attacked the box.
Oswell Mariles took the Vulcans' first shot which Eagle goalie
Jordan Brinkley knocked down. In the ensuing melee, the Eagles were called for a hand ball in the box. Patino took the penalty shot and tied the game.
That score stood until
Jeremy Gordon headed in a corner kick at the 58-minute mark.
Isaac Gettis punched in a cross for the Eagles' security goal.
The Vulcans were on the short end of shots (12-7), saves (4-2) and corner kicks (9-4).
