UAA will have played eight games before entering the civic auditorium. They won their first five games before an 84-75 exhibition loss to UNLV. They will host Dixie State and Cal State Stanislaus before playing at Hawaii Pacific University on November 17.

Megan Mullings was chosen the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's 2015-16 Preseason Player of the Year. She was joined by teammates 5-5 junior guard

Jenna Buchanan on the Preseason All-GNAC Team. UAA added more experience and depth with Division I senior transfers

The UAF Nanooks were selected to finish ninth in the GNAC and will play four games before entering the civic. They host Cal State Stanislaus and Dixie State then head to Oahu to play Brigham Young University-Hawaii and Chaminade University on November 18 and 19, respectively, before hitting the civic hardwood.

JuniorÂ
Jordan Wilson was selected to the Preseason GNAC team. The 5-11 Wilson, who was the 2013-14 GNAC Freshman of the Year, returns to the Nanooks after an injury-riddled 2014-15 season that forced her to miss eight of Alaska's 28 games. The Henderson, Colorado native was still able to lead the Nanooks in scoring last season, as she chipped in 15.6 points per game and ranked third on the team in rebounds with her 5.6 per game average.
Head Coach
Cody Bench enters her fourth season with a 28-52 record.
Last meetingThe teams last met in 2013 in Hilo for a pair of games. The Nanooks won the first game 62-61.
Jordan Kealoha made a pair of free throws with four seconds left to give the Vulcans a 59-58 victory in game two.
