The University of Hawai`i Hilo women's golf team will host the 10th Dennis Rose Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, this Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 24-25) at the Waikoloa Beach & King's Golf Course in Waikoloa.
The Vulcans will welcome Stetson (Fla.), Saint Martin's (Wash.), Hawai`i Pacific, Western Washington, and Academy of Art (Calif.). All teams are NCAA Division II, with the exception of Stetson (D-I). Academy of Art and Western Washington were both top 10 teams in the west region last year.
After a Sunday practice round, the squads will tee-off at 7 a.m. on Monday and play 36 holes. They will finish up with a round of 18 holes on Tuesday at 7 a.m.
This is the tenth time that head coach
Jim DeMello and UHH has hosted this event. Last year, host Hawai`i Hilo and Cal State Monterey Bay shared the team title. Below is a list of past champions on the women's side.
