HONOLULU, Hawaii – After a 2-0 season start, the University of Hawaii at Hilo ran into stone wall as they dropped a 9-0 match to Hawaii Pacific University on the University of Hawaii tennis courts.
 
The Vulcans went down in straight sets in doubles with Trixia Croad and Brianca Novotna falling 8-2 in first doubles, Kinsey Volkart and Shanise Kaaikala being blanked 8-0 in second doubles, and Chelsea Sato and Megan Fujitake falling 8-1 in third doubles.
 
The team didn't fare much better in singles While Croad won one game in losing 6-1, 6-0 in first singles, Novotna, Volkart and Kaaikala were able to win two games in their matches while Sato and Anne Carsey were shutout.
