LAIE, Hawaii – The University of Hawaii at Hilo faced with #16 Brigham Young University-Hawaii and came away with two singles victories as they dropped the match 7-2 on the BYU-Hawaii courts.
Claiming the victories were
Kainoa Rosa in first singles with a 3-setter over Ibrahim Karmadzhe (6-2, 2-6, 10-8).
Stefan Coney claimed the other win but in third singles with a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 win over Guillermo Ucelay.
The Vulcans face BYU-Hawaii again tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Laie.
