KAILUA KONA, Hawai`i--The Hawai`i Hilo women's tennis team rode the thrill of victory from the top of the ladder to the bottom in scoring a 9-0 win over Chaminade on Sunday morning at the Holua Tennis Center.
After opening the season playing No. 2 BYU-Hawaii twice and No. 22 Sonoma State, the Vulcans did what had been done to them to the Silverswords. They improved to 1-3 on the season, while Chaminade fell to 0-4.
UHH won all matches in straight sets in both singles and doubles. They will wrap up their five-match series in Kona on Monday with a battle against No. 5 nationally ranked Hawai`i Pacific at 9 a.m.
