LAIE, Hawai`i--The University of Hawai`i Hilo women's tennis team fell to No. 2 nationally ranked BYU-Hawaii today for the fourth time this season and likely for the final time ever on the BYU-H Tennis Courts.
This is the final year for athletics on the BYU-Hawaii campus, ending a long run of Seasider dominance in women's tennis. Today, they defeated the Vulcans 9-0 to remain undefeated on the season at 13-0. UH Hilo dropped to 3-8, with half of those losses coming at the hands of the Seasiders.
The Vulcans will play one more match on Oahu before returning home, facing NCAA Division I Colgate on Wednesday on the BYUH courts at 8 a.m.
