LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The Hawaii Hilo men's tennis picked up their fourth win of the season over a ranked opponent, taking down Midwestern State (Tex.) on Tuesday afternoon at the Darling Tennis Center, 7-2.

The Vulcans, ranked No. 15, swept the No. 20 Mustangs in doubles and captured four of the six singles bouts to get the win. UH Hilo's only loss this season is to NCAA Division I Southern Utah.

Vaclav Slezak and Alessandro Giuliato were double winners for the Vulcans today in Las Vegas. Slezak, ranked No. 17 nationally, dropped the first set at No. 1 singles, but then took down Vasudev Vijayaraman, 4-6, 6-0, 6-4. He teamed with Giuliato to roll on court one in doubles, 8-3, while Giuliato cruised on court two in singles over Dillon Pineda, 6-1, 6-2.

Arturo Dell`eva delivered a win at No. 5 singes, as did Stefan Coney on court six. Alex Fillat Perez and Bruno Figlia claimed a doubles victory, ditto for Gregory Zukeran and Chun En Wu.

Nationally ranked tennis continues on Wednesday in Las Vegas when the Vulcans battle No. 11 University of Indianapolis. Start time is 2 p.m. Pacific.
