Box Score TUCSON, Ariz.--Vevesi Liilii hit a grand slam home run and the Vulcans had three round-trippers in the game during a 9-7 run-fest win over Eastern New Mexico on Saturday afternoon at the Cactus Classic.

Coupled with an earlier win on Saturday over No. 2 Texas A&M-Kingsville, the Vulcans improved to 5-6 on the season and to 4-2 in Arizona. Eastern New Mexico fell to 4-2. It was their first loss of the tourament after defeating Simon Fraser and Colorado Mesa.

Vevesi's grand slam was her second home run of the year, and Skylar Thomas ripped her second over the fence this year as well. Markie Okamoto hit her first four-bagger of 2020 as the Vulcans used the long ball to pick up the win. 

Freshman Malia Risdall made her first collegiate start in the pitching circle and Leah Gonzales came on to spell her in the fourth inning.

UH HIlo will wrap up tournament play at 10 am on Sunday against Texas Permian Basin.
