DALY CITY, Calif.--After rolling through Dominican on Monday to open a three-match road trip in northern California, the Vulcans ran into an underated Academy of Art team on Tuesday, falling to the Urban Knights, 7-0 at the Bay Club of San Francisco.

Academy of Art improved to 2-3 on the season and the Vulcans are now 4-2. The Knights' losses on the season are deceptive, having dropped a contest to Division I University of San Francisco, and close defeats to Biola and Fresno Pacific. 

Today, it was all Urban Knights.

ART swept the doubles competition for one team point, and then won four of the six singles matches in straight sets. The Vulcans had their best chances for victory on courts four and five, with Carmelle Joyner going three sets before falling to Aitana Comas Adam, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3. On court five, Hannah Highsmith lost a long battle to Erica Hellbe, 3-6, 6-3, 10-8. 

UH HIlo's final match of this road trip will be on Friday at Fresno Pacific.
