HONOLULU, Hawai`i--The UH Hilo women's tennis team pushed themselves back over .500 with a 7-0 win over Chaminade on Saturday afternoon at Keehi Lagoon Park.

The Vulcans improved to 5-4 on the year with the victory, while the Silverswords fell to 0-4. UHH will wrap up three matches in three days on Sunday in taking on No. 7 ranked Hawaii Pacific at Central Oahu Regional Park at 11 am.

UH Hilo won two of three doubles matches to take the team point and won all six singles bouts. 

Casydee De Mattos picked up her first collegiate win, playing on number four court with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Marissa Luna. On court one, Sandra Dafincescu won a three-set battle with Catrina Liner, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. The rest of the Vulcan wins came in straight sets. 

The Vulcans and Sharks match tomorrow will be the rubber match between the two teams, as they split matches in February in Kona.
