As previously announced, there will not be any fans allowed at UH Hilo soccer matches for the month of September. That order has now been extended through the Vulcans first two home volleyball matches in October as well.

UHH has home soccer matches on September 22 (Seattle Pacific), 26th (Western Washington) and 29th (Azusa Pacific) that will be fanless, and the first pair of volleyball matches slated for October 6 (Biola) and 9 (Concordia) will be played without fans in attendance as well. In early October, a determination will be made regarding the next two volleyball matches on Oct. 13 and 16, along with soccer matches at home the following week.

"We are very disappointed to not be able to play in front of our fans at this time," said Vulcan athletics director Patrick Guillen. "But understand that this decision has been made in the best interest of public safety and as measures to protect our community, student-athletes and staff."
