HILO, Hawai'i – The women's basketball team moved up in the D2SIDA Media Poll after knocking down ART U Thursday night, 66-58 in the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. 
 
The D2SIDA Media Poll is voted by Division II SID's nationwide and is released every Monday (until the NCAA begins releasing its regional polls), followed by the national poll every Tuesday by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). 
 
Last week the Vulcans were tied for No. 7 in the D2SIDA Media Poll and this week the Vulcans moved up a slot to No. 6 in the West Region with two first place votes.  
 
The Vulcans are currently second place in the PacWest Conference behind Azusa Pacific.
