HILO, Hawai'i – The Hawai'i Hilo men's basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as it stampeded Milligan, 91-59, Saturday evening in the Big Island Holiday Classic at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
The Vulcans took a 13-2 through the first five minutes, shooting 5 of 8, while the Buffaloes went 1 of 6 from the field.
Hawai'i Hilo doubled up the score on Milligan at halftime with a 50-25 lead on the way to victory.
The Vulcans advance to Sunday's Big Island Holiday Classic title game against Central Methodist, who defeated Valley City State earlier in the day.

- Hawai'i Hilo finished the game shooting 57.1 percent (36 of 63) while Milligan went 22 of 69 from the field (31.9 percent).
