HILO, Hawai'i– The UH Hilo basketball teams have some critical games coming up as the PacWest Conference's March Madness approaches. The PacWest Championships have been extended to an eight-team field (previously only six) due to a large number of postponements and rescheduled games throughout the league.
Qualification and seeding for the tournament will be determined by each program's conference winning percentage and the Vulcans are looking to cement their ticket on the road in Northern California.
Men's Basketball
The UH Hilo men's hoops are slated to play four games while in Northern California against Academy of Art, Holy Names, Fresno Pacific, and Dominican.
The Vulcans will rematch Academy of Art, Holy Names, and Dominican on their home turf, while facing Fresno Pacific for the first time.
UHH sits in fifth in their race to Fresno after their past two wins over Chaminade and Hawai'i Pacific.
Every game is crucial on the road as the Vulcans close up their season and look to remain in the Top eight and finish in the highest seeding as possible.
