SAN DIEGO, Calif.-- The UH Hilo women's golf team began the Biola Eagle Invitational with a shaky start, a team 50-above par in eighth place at the Grand Golf Club.

The Vulcans aren't too far away from their competitors. They are just three strokes behind Vanguard University (+47), four behind Hawai'i Pacific (+46), and five away from Westminster College (+45).

Three UHH golfers are tied for the leading finish in 24th place including Kailey Oki, Tori Hironaga, and Kaelyn Uchida (+12). 

Tia Kualii is two swings behind (+14) and Carli Shimokihara rounds up the group 24-above par.

The final round will take place tomorrow Friday, Mar. 11 with a 6am HT (8am PT) shotgun start.
