KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Hawai'i Hilo Women's Soccer team received a No. 13 ranking in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll released Tuesday morning.
Although the Vulcans had a match Monday afternoon, this week's rankings were unaffected by those results — a defeat by No. 8 Concordia University Irvine — as weekly ballots are collected before the end of the weekend.
Hawai'i Hilo moved down three slots from the previous week's rank of No. 10.
The Vulcans remained at No. 2 in the West Region Rankings with No. 5 CUI ahead at the top. No. 20 Seattle Pacific sits at No. 3 in the region out of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
College of Saint Rose (14-0-1) came in as the new No. 1 team with previous top-voter Catawba falling to No. 4.

NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS
The first NCAA Regional Rankings were released last Wednesday with Hawai'i Hilo coming in on the list of top eight teams in the west region.
For the West, the winners from each of the Pacific West Conference, California Collegiate Athletic Association and the Great Northwest Athletic Conference will automatically qualify for the postseason. The remaining three teams will be granted according to the regional ranks.
Two more iterations of the NCAA Regional Rankings will be released before the final announcement with the NCAA Selection Show on Nov. 13.
UNITED SOCCER COACHES
Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Missouri, United Soccer Coaches has grown into the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game.
United Soccer Coaches conducts the most widely recognized national and regional soccer ranking system in the country as a service to the general public and its members. The intent of the rankings program is to stimulate greater interest in men's and women's soccer at the intercollegiate and interscholastic levels and to recognize those programs that are enjoying remarkable success on a regional and national level.
United Soccer Coaches rankings, released every Tuesday during the regular season, are an indicator of week-to-week status of qualified programs and in no way should be used as a guide or indicator of eligibility for championship selection.
